Woman Choked Out And Sexually Assaulted At NYC Park In Broad Daylight

0

Police are looking for a man who ambushed a 28-year-old woman in a Manhattan park in the middle of an afternoon last week, dragging her into bushes and choking her unconscious before ripping off her jewelry, authorities say.

The woman was walking near the Highbridge Park Playground around 3:15 p.m. June 4 when she was attacked from behind. Once she recovered from the choke, police say the suspect forced her to perform a sex on him before he ran off.

The woman was treated at a hospital and released. Police released a surveillance image of the suspect (above). Anyone with information about him is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.” – NBC New York

Given the current racially charged climate I was debating on whether I should report on this. Ultimately, at the risk of being called insensitive, I have decided that this has nothing to do with race.

A woman was choked, dragged into the bushes of a park, raped, robed, all at 3pm in the middle of Manhattan. In broad daylight.

That is absolutely terrifying.

How did no one see? Why were there no officers or people around to hear this woman scream?

NYPD still has not found the suspect and are encouraging anyone with information to reach out to their TIPS line.

NYC restaurants respond to the George Floyd protests this weekend

As a woman living in NYC, these stories scare me. And I want them shared. Despite the current climate. Because once again, this is not about race.

This is about criminals. Criminals come in all shapes and colors. This one happened to be black. There will be a white one tomorrow. The race is irrelevant, the point is criminals are out there. And dancing around talking about it because it may be insensitive to a specific race is ABSURD when women are being assaulted.

Fight for police reform fine, but this stuff happens. And it’s not about race. We need more foot traffic from police officers in the NYPD not defunding strategies.

Absolutely no excuse for this to have happened in the most densely populated city in America.

Video: Teens Accidentally Light Apartment Of Elderly Man On Fire In Brooklyn

Now I know it’s 4th of July, but we can have a little courtesy here. If rockets are hitting your neighbors windows it may be time to realize that you shouldn’t be setting off high powered fireworks in a city as dense as NYC unless you know what you are doing.

*WARNING: VIDEO MAY BE GRAPHIC TO SOME VIEWERS*

Clearly this group did not know what they were doing.

Maybe they meant well. Once the fire started you could see them trying to break open the building to save whoever was inside. But it was too late, and despite their kind efforts, they are still idiots.

FDNY and NYPD had to be called and after seeing them drag that poor old man out of his apartment it’s not surprising that the city wants to see arrests made.

Life Sentence For Florida Man, Raped And Impregnated 10-year-old

More crazy news out of Florida…

Central Florida resident Rony Otoniel Mendez, 26 years old, has been sentenced to life in prison for raping and impregnating a 10-year-old girl.

“The Ledger reports that 26-year-old Rony Otoniel Mendez was sentenced Wednesday after a jury found him guilty of three counts of sexual battery on a child under 12 and one count of lewd and lascivious molestation on a child.

Authorities say Mendez first had sex with the girl in October 2013 and then two more times after that. The girl reported the assaults in November 2014 after she learned she was pregnant. She gave birth to a daughter in May 2015, and DNA tests confirmed the child was fathered by Mendez.” – Fox News

Rony Otoniel Mendez is of Guatemalan descent. Commentators on the incident have noted the tendency of adult-children relationships in Guatemalan culture. Some even go as far to say it is common practice for adult males in Guatemala to prey upon girls as young as 9-12 years old.

/U/ProjectManagerAMA shared an anecdote on Reddit today after the story initially broke:

The young girl gave birth to the baby in May 2015. DNA tests confirmed that the child belonged to Rony Otoniel Mendez.

Mendez fled to Guatemala shortly after the allegations were made. He was swiftly extradited back to the states and arrested.

Shop Owner Who Called Police Officer Offers To Pay George Floyd Funeral Costs

George Floyd Funeral Costs

The owner of Cup Foods, the man who called the police officer on George Floyd, has now offered to pay funeral costs to alleviate extra stress on Floyd’s family.

“This businesses owner says he is prepared to do what he can for the family.

“We want to offer first and foremost our deepest condolences we want to offer any support whether its financially, socially, spiritually any type of support they need,”Abumayyaleh said.

Cup Food owners say video from the store, which they have been asked not to release, shows Floyd was not resisting officers.

They have offered to pay for George Floyd’s funeral expenses.”CBS Minnesota

George Floyd Funeral Costs

Shop owner Mahmod Abumayaleh has been receiving death threats and hate mail daily since the brutal murder of George Floyd. Abumayaleh claims the escalation of force was not his intention, and it’s easy to believe him. Abumayaleh was a kown member of the community, as was Floyd. Abumayaleh claims to have known Floyd as a regular at Cup Foods for many years. He was never anyone he saw as a threat, However when a bill appeared to be counterfeit, he called the police to investigate.

“The staff that called police followed protocol when he identified the bill was fake. The patron was out of the establishment when the police arrived, he was outside of the establishment which normally never takes place why he was still there were not sure,” Abumayyaleh said. CBS Minnesota

Abumayaleh and most other residents of the town believe that Floyd was following protocol himself. Most of the time a counterfeit bill is suspected, it is because the patron was unaware that the bill was fake. In a normal situation an officer would arrive, ask where the bill was obtained, take contact information, and then bring the bill into a detectives unit for further inspection. No arrest is made. Because no crime has been committed. In the case of counterfeiter bill, there there is a benefit of doubt in favor of the owner of the bill in question.

George Floyd Funeral Costs

There was no reason for Floyd to run. If he didn’t print the money why would he? He is just cooperating with the process of inspecting a counterfeit bill. The fact that Floyd remained on scene shows he was likely unaware that he was in possession of a counterfeit bill.

Instead, a $20 *possibly* counterfeit bill turned into a man being chocked out and killed on a concrete curb in the bare hands of a police officer.

Abumayaleh did not expect this outcome and has been distraught since. Feeling sorrow for Floyd and for his family.

“This businesses owner says he is prepared to do what he can for the family.

Still, Abumayyaleh does not blame himself in the death at George Floyd, despite covering funeral costs.

‘”For those who say if the police hadn’t been called he would be alive how does that staff member feel about that may be rightfully so but we cannot predict the future”’ Abumayyaleh said.” – CBS Minnesota

George Floyd Funeral Costs

You cannot predict the future, many try, and generally calling the police seems like a good good move when you are in a conflict/situation. And a lot of times it is. So Abumayyaleh did not expect this level of violence and escalation. BUT he is the one who called the cops. Of course he didn’t expect that outcome but technically he was a part of the butterfly effect here.

On a side note – no reason to be coming even close to killing unarmed citizens. I you cannot refrain from doing this you cannot be a cop. Even if you think an unarmed person may be dangerous, you have your mace, your taser, your night stick. Why do any handguns needs to come out?

Joe Biden Facing Ridicule After Revealing He “Sits On The Toilet Backwards”

At the end of a press conference that can only be described as nothing less than bizarre, presidential candidate Joe Biden wrapped up his speech with a personal anecdote involving his morning routine. The story definitely did not seem necessary. It did not seem relevant and I’m sure Biden had intended this story to be a lighthearted end before leaving the stage. However, it was anything but that.

#ToiletGate More Polarizing Than Expected

“We all have 24 hours in a day. Sure there are things you need to do. Each morning after I finish my cereal, like every other American, I go to the bathroom. But I don’t just do that, I’m hunched over writing ideas, my notepad on the toilet top.” Biden continued, “(laughing) that’s the great thing about the toilet really, why do you think they designed it like a desk? So when you sit doing your business, you can also take care of business.”

It could have been the intimate setting of the press conference that caused Biden to open up so personally

I had never seen less reporter hands go up in a press conference. After the first part he could have played it off as someone who just likes to take notes on the john. Weird but whatever. But then he went on to clarify. “Why do you think they designed it like a desk?”

I was speechless.

Joe Biden’s Office

And to remove any and all doubt, he later confirmed that he does in fact sit on the toilet backwards. What’s worse? He didn’t know he was sitting on it backwards… for 77 YEARS this man thought sitting on the toilet backwards was the correct way.

“Yeah that wasn’t – my staffer brought it up to me.” Biden explained in a follow up interview with MSNBC, “Apparently not everyone sits on the toilet like that. Apparently I sit on it backwards. I think it was – I don’t know it made sense to me it’s a good place to eat your cereal. Efficient. I guess. (Laughter).” – MSNBC

Image result for joe biden under fire
Poor Joe…

Joe Biden continues to shoot himself in the foot but now I’m starting to think he is doing it on purpose.

This man literally just said on MSNBC that he eats cereal on his toilet. Like, he sits on it backwards and uses the top of the toilet to eat his cereal of off. This is who the DNC wants to push through as the candidate for the National Election.

When this all first came out I thought fine whatever, the man sits on the toilet backwards. The worst part about it was the fact that I had just envisioned Joe Biden on a toilet. But then he doubles down. It’s not his fault that he sits on it backwards. That’s how it looks like it’s supposed to work. I mean come on it looks like a desk. And look, you can eat cereal off it while you drop a deuce!

Add this to the other allegations….

Whatever, it’s not like this is the worst thing Ol’ Joe has done.

Rate Of Coronavirus Fatalities In ‘Juul’ Users Skyrockets To 68 Percent

“SMOKERS WHO WANT TO SURVIVE CORONAVIRUS SHOULD “100 PERCENT” QUIT, EXPERTS SAY” – Inverse

It was already common knowledge that smokers and vapers were at a higher risk of complications if they contracted Coronavirus. Still, experts did not expect this magnitude of respiratory deaths caused by Coronavirus among young individuals in the United States. Is Coronavirus more dangerous to Juul users? It appears to be. Now officials are finding that specifically the use of Juul is leading to many unnecessary deaths in young individuals.

Southern States in particular were perplexed by the large amount of deaths occurring in young adults and teens (ages 16-24). A demographic that normally would have a high recovery rate for a virus that is expected to be most deadly to the 65+ demographic.

E-cigarettes: Facts, stats and regulations

States with low rates of new cases have been largely ignored by National efforts on research in regards to who is most at risk and what locations are at a higher risk.

It wasn’t until recently that Dr. Joanna Cohen of Johns Hopkins School of Public Health decided to look into what appeared to be an anomaly.

The answer she found was glaringly obvious. And the answer wasn’t just e-cigarettes, it was Juul specifically.

The three states with the highest fatality rate of individuals aged 16-24 are Kentucky, Tennessee and Oklahoma. These three states are also the states with the highest percentage of Juul users. And as expected, a very high amount of Juul users are in the demographic of 16-24.

Madlad one-ups High School's meme game. : madlads

Conversely, the U.S. states that currently are dealing with the highest fatality rates also happen to be the three states (New York, New Jersey, and Michigan) with the lowest Juul consumption.

With such conflicting data it makes sense that it took health officials a little bit of time to understand why the demographic of 16-24 year-olds were facing a higher amount of Coronavirus fatalities than the CDC had predicted. National Health Officials and the CDC focused on the three states with rapid onset deaths. New York, New Jersey, and Michigan. After evaluating these high risk areas they came to the conclusion that the biggest risk was being over the age of 65, the second biggest risk was having an underlying medical condition. Lung disease or poor lung health was the biggest focus in terms of under-lying medical conditions.

But as the fatality rate of young individuals continued to skyrocket in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Oklahoma, State Officials began to launch their own investigation. They found that among those effected by Coronavirus, including all age groups, those who reported using Juul or e-cigarrettes had an extremely alarming fatality rate of 68%.

Vaping By The Numbers | Kaiser Health News

“Our findings undoubtedly shed light on how much effect these e-cigarettes have on those who have contracted COVID-19,” Explained the Kentucky Board of Health in their final report, “it should be clarified however that this large fatality rate also includes e-cigarette users that are 50 years of age or older. This is alarming but we believe it is important to make it clear the fatality rate is not at 68% for those aged 16-24, it is 68% for all e-cigarette users. That being said, the conclusion of our findings certainly gives us a strong theory as to why our state is experiencing higher deaths among young individuals than the rest of the country.”

Dr. Joanna Cohen, of the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, agrees:

“We know through the deaths and severe respiratory illnesses that we had this summer that there’s certainly lung injury happening to vapers,” she told CBS News. “And if your lungs are injured, obviously they’re going to have a more difficult time dealing with other challenges.”

“Those who use electronic cigarettes are putting themselves in a position that when they catch COVID-19, they’re likely to have more dire consequences than those that do not use electronic cigarettes.” – Source

Two National Guard Members Literally Struck By Lightning In DC Protests

0

Early Friday morning two members of the National Guard were struck by lightning. The two were deployed to monitor and keep the peace during the DC protests. I’m not a very religious man, but if there was ever a time God was saying “get it together down there”, I think this might be it.

Two National Guard members deployed to patrol Washington, DC amid widespread protests in the city were injured by a lightning strike early Friday morning, a report said.

The members were near Lafayette Square when lightning hit the area near them and they were injured by the strike, NBC News reported.

They were rushed to an area hospital with serious injures, but expected to survive, according to the report.Source

national guard struck by lightning

Many people did warn that bringing in the National Guard would be dangerous for everyone involved. But I don’t think anyone had something like this in mind.

“Two people thought to be National Guard members deployed during protests in Washington, D.C. were hospitalized after lightning struck the area of their post not far from the White House early Friday, a fire official said.

The strike and possible injuries were reported shortly after midnight inside a perimeter anchored by Lafayette Square, the site of George Floyd demonstrations this week, according to Vito Maggiolo, spokesman for the district’s fire and emergency medical services department.

The two were hospitalized in non-life-threatening condition, he said.”NBC

So very much a freak accident. A lightning striking a human let alone to National Guard members patrolling a protest, well, lets just say it is very low odds. Luckily it appears both of these National Guard members, despite being struck by lightning, are both in non-life-threatening condition and are expected to make a full recovery.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott Pauses All Reopening, ICU’s At 97% Capacity

We all knew that Texas was one of the states expecting a Corona spike. However, even experts did to expect record breaking numbers to hit this morning. Given the current uptick, Texas reopening has been postponed. Governor Greg Abbott has declared a full state-wise pause on all stages of Texas reopening. New timelines will be declared at a later time.

The state of Texas had an emergency plan in the event of an uptick. The plan was not designed for an emergency of this degree however. The plan involves opening a wing and bringing in 2,000 more beds. Healthcare officials expect these beds to fill up in less than two weeks. So further planning is going to be needed.

Texas Medical Center (TMC), the self-declared largest medical complex in the world, said on Tuesday that 97 percent of its ICU beds are occupied. The normal occupancy rate is 70 to 80 percent.”DailyMail

Above is a chart predicting the impending cases of Coronavirus if Texas continues it’s current lack of social distancing habits.

Earlier on Thursday, Abbott ordered all licensed hospitals in the hard-hit Bexar, Dallas, Harris and Travis counties to postpone elective procedures in order to protect hospital capacity for Covid-19 patients. Those counties include the state’s largest cities — Houston, San Antonio, Dallas and Austin. There are currently 4,389 Covid-19 patients hospitalized statewide in Texas, up from 2,793 a week ago, according to the state’s health department.” – CNBC

These “elective surgeries” include gender re-assignment. The LGBT community is expected to respond in outrage. Given they protested last time that COVID-19 was deemed more essential than gender-reassignment.

Texas may need to reach out to other states for assistance the same way New York did. Whatever the strategy is, it needs to be decided and implemented ASAP. Until then, Texas reopening dates will be undecided.

Black Trans Lives Matter Protest Starting To Turn Violent In Brooklyn

0
black trans lives matter

Although the Black Trans Lives matter protest was going well all morning and early afternoon, this peace did not last forever. By 4pm ET there were allegedly flags being burned in the street. By 6pm protesters were also allegedly getting into physical altercations with police and large amounts of tear gas was deployed.

“Thousands of supporters dressed in white congregated outside the Brooklyn Museum Sunday to call attention to the plight of Black trans lives, including the death of trans woman Layleen Polanco.

The event, Brooklyn Liberation: An Action for Black Trans Lives, was organized in part by The Okra Project, Marsha P. Johnson Institute, For the Gworls, G.L.I.T.S., and Black Trans Femmes in the Arts.

The thousands of New Yorkers attending Sunday’s rally filled several blocks surrounding the front of the museum. A march was scheduled to follow the afternoon rally.”NBC New York

Around 1pm this is what it looked like right outside the Brooklyn Musem:

This was already enough to get the attention of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. A governor that has been pushing the importance of social distancing harder than most politicians are.

He went live on a press conference at around 1pm when the gatherings started to happen in Brooklyn. He threatened New Yorkers that if they do not start adhering to the guidelines he will be enforcing a a longer stay-at-home order and shut-down for Manhattan and The Hamptons specifically.

Black Trans Live Matter Protest

Manhattan and the Hamptons are the leading areas in the state with violations,” Cuomo said.

“These are not hard-to-spot violations. People send videos of these violations,” the governor said — two days after at least 200 people were caught on video partying together, many without masks, around St. Marks Place in the East Village in Manhattan.

“They are rampant, and there’s not enough enforcement,” he said of violators.

“I’m not going to allow situations to exist, that we know have a high likelihood of causing an increase in the virus,” Cuomo said. “Local governments, do your job.”NY Post

The Quick Escalation

Well, Cuomos words didn’t work, here is what the scene looked like at 5:45pm ET:

black trans lives matter protest

The hype around the black trans lives matter and the rally spread like wildfire through Twitter. The NYPD speculates that the stark increase in attendance was centered around the circulation of the hashtag #BlackTransLivesMatter. Some officers believed many of the protestors would not even be aware of the rally if it wasn’t for Twitter.

But in reality, this may have just been the perfect storm. Or the perfectly planned storm?

1st Curve-Ball- Today Is Trump’s Birthday

Today is Donald Trump’s birthday. We don’t know if this protest was purposely planned to coincide with that. Although it’s obviously not outside the realm of possibility.

Especially considering the report we heard from a source that small groups of people were running around the protest area and lighting small American flags on fire. This source is unconfirmed but according to Ryan Frost he photographed the flags, believes they “were sent by ANTIFA” and he watched NYPD officers arrest them after they “tried to fist fight the officers”.

Considering it is also Flag Day, it is possible there was attempted symbolism here perhaps.

Hopefully this story is entirely false or exaggerated, but either way, if things are going south. It will go south quick. We may not know about official flag burning reports but we do know some things.

What we do know, is that many liberals on Twitter today decided to dub June 14th, ‘Obama Day’. But a lot of people didn’t know this was a troll attempt, and instead believed that June 14th was in fact National Obama Day.

Before long the top 5 trending hashtags on twitter were as follows:

  1. #ObamaApprecationDay
  2. #BlackTransLivesMatter
  3. #NationalObamaDay
  4. #HAPPYBIRTHDAYPRESIDENTTRUMP
  5. #FlagDay

Black Trans Lives Matter was also trending at number 8.

2nd Curve-Ball – It’s Also Flag Day….

Oh right, forgot to mention, on top of everything else it’s also flag day. Could be why on sight flight flag burning was a tactic today in the protest. Today was certainly quite the roller coaster.

Most of the time this kind of stuff is all harmless banter and trolling, liberals attempting to get Obama Day trending on Trump’s birthday sounds about right. I don’t believe anyone wanted to incite violence here.

But today wasn’t a normal day. There was a protest, and tensions are high right now. It is fair to say that more people showed up to the Brooklyn Museum after the ‘ObamaDay’ troll move went into effect. More liberal locals in Brooklyn probably felt inclined to attend if it was the Black Trans Live Matter protest AND National Obama Day.

As for the violence, I know the high majority of us can agree that is not needed. And with the volume of people so high right now, hopefully things settle down soon. A third curveball here could lead to an awful night for NYC.

Georgia Just Released A Man Who Was Sentenced To Life

“Peter Mallory, a Georgia man who was sentenced in 2013 to 1,000 years in prison on child porn charges, has been released on parole after serving seven years of his sentence.”WFTV

Seriously Georgia? Right now you’re going to do this?

Peter Mallory worked on building located on a college campus. More specifically, West Georgia Technical College campus.

When police first began investigating they believed that the pornographic images they found belonged to one of the students on campus. They soon realized that the images were actually on the hard drive of Peter Mallory.

The nearly 26,000 files of movies and photos found on Mallory’s computer were more than investigators in Georgia had ever seen in one case, they said.

peter mallory

Everything that we found was the rape and torture of children,” said Lagrange Police Department Detective Christopher Pritchett.

Investigators said that while they were searching for child porn, they also stumbled upon photos of some of Peter Mallory employees. Police said he had cameras under his desk that took photos underneath female employees’ skirts.” – WFTV

And yes we looked into it, this was not a COVID-19 related release.

“While the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles didn’t explain why he was released, it did confirm the release was not related to the coronavirus pandemic, WSB-TV reported.”

peter mallory

It’s just really not good timing Georgia. I know times are tough and you are looking to cut costs where you can. And paroling old dudes who seem nonthreatening does sound like a good place to start. But pizzagate 2.0 has JUST ramped up. All of Twitter is up in arms over conspiracies about the celebrities and the top 1%. Chrissy Teigen just deleted all of her tweets. And you go and parole a guy who was sentenced to 1,000 years in jail for child pornography.

Does the Georgia State Board not get cable? Do they not know what is happening in the world right now? We don’t need someone like Peter Mallory back out in the streets too. There will be backlash. And rightfully so.
