Ivanka Trump is known for getting involved in as many facets of politics and societal issues as she possibly can. Anything from charity to political activism, Ivanka has found a way to throw her hat in the ring more times than not.

Still, most were shocked to hear that Ivanka was deeply interested in working towards the Coronavirus cure on the ground level. Working in a lab with researchers is definitely not where you would expect to find Ivanka Trump. But these days she spends more than 60 hours a week at NYU Langone Health, where she is helping researchers develop and test vaccines that they hope will prove to be effective against the Coronavirus.

“I did major in economics. That was at Wharton School in Pennsylvania.” Explained Ivanka when asked about her credentials for such a role, “Before that I was very interested, always interested in medicine and how the human body works. Before I went to Wharton I was studying human sciences at Georgetown. That’s why I did that. It was always a passion.”

That being said, Ivanka does not consider herself an “expert” by any means.

“I mean listen, obviously I know more than the average person when it comes to medicine and anatomy. I did study it for two years of my life. But this isn’t about me.” Ivanka continued, “This is about helping the American people. Saving the American people…I understand these (researchers) know more than me. I am just here to help. But I am learning more and more everyday. And honestly the reason I am here truly is all of this is a tragedy and someone needs to step up and figure this out. This is me stepping up.”

Opinions about her presence in the lab are varied. To say the least.

To a lot of researchers and even other workers in the building, seeing Ivanka in scrubs is a sign of hope. It is a sign that the current administration truly does care about getting this pandemic under control.

An unnamed source from NYU Langone had a very different opinion however, implying that Ivanka’s presence does more harm then good.

“I appreciate the sentiment, I really do, I think we all really do”, explained the employee from NYU Langone, “But this has created a media circus. And it has slowed down our process quite a bit, to the point where I believe Ivanka being here is counter productive to our collective goals.”

Ivanka has heard some of these negative comments on her involvement, but it does not seem to phase her.

“I am learning a lot, I am having fun, I know a high majority of the staff appreciates me being there. But more importantly, despite what people say, I know that I am making an impact. I know that I am not getting in the way of anything. I understand what the true goal here is, and that is to save American citizens from this awful pandemic. And that is why I am out here right now. Doing just that.”

Currently Ivanka has not had any issues being around the lab. She tested negative for COVID-19 less than 24 hours ago.

Despite your opinion on all of this, it can’t be denied that this is a brave endeavor. This comes only days after the viscous threats from ISIS were sent to her.

In the video you can see there is a single NYPD video clearly trying to make it’s way through past the barricade. You can start to see some of the protesters pushing the barricade up against the NYPD vehicle. Before long the protesters surrounding the NYPD SUV start hurling traffic cones and other random debris at the car. Objects bouncing of the window and protesters starting to move in past the barricade.

That’s when the second NYPD vehicle pulls up, slows down a bit, then clearly accelerates and rams through the crowd dragging protesters with it.

Right when this happens, you can see the first NYPD vehicle follow suit. Press the gas and ram into the barricade and the protesters behind it. Two NYPD officers ram into protesters.

Surprisingly, Mayor de Blasio Is Backing The NYPD On This One

“Look, I’ve seen that video, and I’ve obviously heard about a number of other instances — it’s inappropriate for protestors to surround a police vehicle and threaten police officers. That’s wrong on its face and that hasn’t happened in the history of protest in this city,” de Blasio said. “I’ve been watching protests for decades. People don’t do that. And so it’s clear that a different element has come into play here who are trying to hurt police officers and trying to damage their vehicles, and if a police officer is [in] that situation they have to get out that situation.”

He added that “the video was upsetting, and I wish the officers hadn’t done that. But I also understood that they didn’t start the situation. The situation was started by a group of protestors converging on a police vehicle, attacking that vehicle, it’s unacceptable.

“I’m not going to blame officers who were trying to deal with an absolutely impossible situation. The folks who were converging on that police car did the wrong thing to begin with, and they created an untenable situation. I wish the officers had found a different approach, but let’s begin at the beginning. The protestors in that video did the wrong thing to surround that police car, period.” – CNN

I don’t know about this one de Blasio. I know it’s been a while since you gave the NYPD any slack and you feel like you owe them one, but all of these protesters were unarmed. A vehicle to a pedestrian can be considered a deadly weapon. People were injured and someone being killed was a high possibility. Two NYPD officers ram into protesters, it’s getting serious.

I’m not sure what the right answer is, but it happened, it’s in plain sight in both videos. We will see if de Blasio will change his stance on this one in the coming days once the victims/families are heard from.

New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made a lot of noise this week after she accused press secretary Kayleigh McEnany of being racist. AOC claimed that McEnany assumed she was just an adviser to Biden “because she was a woman of color.”

“The White House clapped back at Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., after the New York Democratic congresswoman claimed press secretary Kayleigh McEnany downplayed her position and inferred it was because she was a “woman of color.”

Ocasio-Cortez quoted a tweet which was a line from the briefing where McEnany referred to her as “Biden adviser Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez” but did not include context.” – Fox News

Ok AOC take a chill pill. Are you out of your mind? You REALLY think that Kayleigh McEnany doesn’t know who you are? Just going to jump to the conclusion that Kayleigh McEnany is racist? Literally EVERYONE knows who you are. Whether they want to or not. So if this was an ego thing about your title, take my word for it you are well known.

If AOC wanted to say that she was ignored, that I would maybe buy. But McEnany not being able to identify you of all people in a small room, and then on top of that say she assumed you were an advisor because you aren’t white, that’s a bit of a stretch. Stop increasing the divide when your own city is rioting. We need things to cool off.

If you actually believe that Kayleigh McEnany is racist, and you were treated differently because you are a person of color, then just look at the official White House transcript from the press conference. Maybe you just misheard her AOC.

So at first when I read it, I thought maybe she did actually leave out her Congresswoman title. But when you read it in full it is very clear that she identifies that she is about to name a few Congresswoman in the room, and then proceeds to name AOC.

I thought maybe calling her Joe Biden’s advisor was an actual slip up. So I looked it up, AOC is LITERALLY Biden’s Campaign Manager!

So when she grouped the congresswoman together, she likely said “most notably Biden advisor AOC” because she is the loudest congresswoman on the topic of defunding the police. Which was the topic at the time.

“In an NY1 segment, Ocasio-Cortez said she’s “actively engaged in advocacy” for a “reduction of our NYPD budget and defunding a $6 billion NYPD budget that costs us books in the hands of our children and costs us very badly needed investment in NYCHA [New York City Housing Authority] and public housing.”

That stance puts her at odds with the chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, who has rejected the call by Black Lives Matter organizers to defund police.” – Fox News

So the chair of the Congressional Black Caucus is against defunding the police? Glad to see the left is on the same page…

But the story here is I actually did think AOC might be in the right when I read the first report. Kayleigh McEnany is notably candid and the idea of her accidentally saying something out of bounds in a discussion related to race is very plausible. Clearly that wasn’t the case however.

After reading the transcript though you can see that while AOC may have heard it that way, it was not Kayleigh McEnany being racist. Condescending maybe, but this was not about skin color.

So to put it as simply as possible. AOC, who is the campaign manager for Joe Biden, called McEnany racist for calling her Joe Biden’s campaign manager.

Like I said before, Kayleigh McEnany is off the cusp a lot. You might have had your opportunity to highlight an actual racist comment but you gotta pick your battles AOC. Going forward read the transcripts from the conference BEFORE you send out your tweets accusing racism.

Because when stuff like this happens, you just alienate people. You are a congresswoman at a very young age of 30 years old, making close to 200K a year, how is it that the White House Press Secretary is still getting you insecure. You’re the one actually in a position of power. McEnany is just up there defending tweets. Jumping to a conclusion like that makes it seem that’s how you perceive yourself, in a position that is a lot for you. And not in a race way, just in a your a 30 year old congresswoman way. AOC if you want to stay in this game you’ll have to learn less is more most of the time. Take your incumbency and ride out 3 terms like every other NY rep.

Either way we know AOC will either double-down or ignore it. And honestly, I respect it.

The owner of Cup Foods, the man who called the police officer on George Floyd, has now offered to pay funeral costs to alleviate extra stress on Floyd’s family.

“This businesses owner says he is prepared to do what he can for the family.

“We want to offer first and foremost our deepest condolences we want to offer any support whether its financially, socially, spiritually any type of support they need,”Abumayyaleh said.

Cup Food owners say video from the store, which they have been asked not to release, shows Floyd was not resisting officers.

They have offered to pay for George Floyd’s funeral expenses.” – CBS Minnesota

Shop owner Mahmod Abumayaleh has been receiving death threats and hate mail daily since the brutal murder of George Floyd. Abumayaleh claims the escalation of force was not his intention, and it’s easy to believe him. Abumayaleh was a kown member of the community, as was Floyd. Abumayaleh claims to have known Floyd as a regular at Cup Foods for many years. He was never anyone he saw as a threat, However when a bill appeared to be counterfeit, he called the police to investigate.

“The staff that called police followed protocol when he identified the bill was fake. The patron was out of the establishment when the police arrived, he was outside of the establishment which normally never takes place why he was still there were not sure,” Abumayyaleh said. – CBS Minnesota

Abumayaleh and most other residents of the town believe that Floyd was following protocol himself. Most of the time a counterfeit bill is suspected, it is because the patron was unaware that the bill was fake. In a normal situation an officer would arrive, ask where the bill was obtained, take contact information, and then bring the bill into a detectives unit for further inspection. No arrest is made. Because no crime has been committed. In the case of counterfeiter bill, there there is a benefit of doubt in favor of the owner of the bill in question.

There was no reason for Floyd to run. If he didn’t print the money why would he? He is just cooperating with the process of inspecting a counterfeit bill. The fact that Floyd remained on scene shows he was likely unaware that he was in possession of a counterfeit bill.

Instead, a $20 *possibly* counterfeit bill turned into a man being chocked out and killed on a concrete curb in the bare hands of a police officer.

Abumayaleh did not expect this outcome and has been distraught since. Feeling sorrow for Floyd and for his family.

‘”For those who say if the police hadn’t been called he would be alive how does that staff member feel about that may be rightfully so but we cannot predict the future”’ Abumayyaleh said.” – CBS Minnesota

You cannot predict the future, many try, and generally calling the police seems like a good good move when you are in a conflict/situation. And a lot of times it is. So Abumayyaleh did not expect this level of violence and escalation. BUT he is the one who called the cops. Of course he didn’t expect that outcome but technically he was a part of the butterfly effect here.

On a side note – no reason to be coming even close to killing unarmed citizens. I you cannot refrain from doing this you cannot be a cop. Even if you think an unarmed person may be dangerous, you have your mace, your taser, your night stick. Why do any handguns needs to come out?

Indeed, the tech company known for helping people find jobs, is now in the hot seat for helping upper management get out of sexual assault charges. And now there is a woman suing indeed for just that. – Law360

“The suit alleges that a male-dominated company culture rewards “bubbly women” who “succumb to the sexual advances of their male managers.” – VICE

And the actions from Indeed following the report of the incident seem to imply that may be the exact culture that is being created at the company-

“In the filing, the accuser, Taylor Gilbert, a 27-year-old senior account executive who still works at Indeed, alleges that she eventually went to HR with her complaint and that no action was taken on her behalf. Instead, she was told that the assault was likely the result of her own previous behavior, the lawsuit alleges.” – VICE

To sum up the story, the woman suing Indeed, Taylor Gilbert was hired by Indeed in 2015. She traveled from New York to Stanford for a week long training orientation. That is where she met Aaron Schwartz, who was a senior manager who worked at the company office in Austin. A man who had been flirting with Taylor and making her uncomfortable already. There are texts sent to her mom before the incident describing suggestive remarks that Schwartz was making.

According to Taylor the orientation was more of a party and included dinners and “bar hopping on Indeed’s dime”.

After everyone returned to the hotel Aaron Schwartz stayed on the elevator with Taylor until it was just them too. Taylor was drunk to the level of incapacitation at this point so her description of events is blurry. But it involves Schwartz suggesting that he walks her to her room and then forcing himself on to her. The next thing she remembers is she is underneath him and he is having sex with her. In this moment Taylor remembers telling him to stop and that she was really drunk. She repeated this multiple times.

Schwartz left the hotel room after the assault.

Taylor was shaken of course. She had a rape kit done but returned to work in New York City and decided not to bring it up to the company. A story that we have heard all too many times. Recently hired entry level worker is taken advantage of by a person in a higher power, the worker who was taken advantage of is too scared/confused/embarrassed to want to bring it up. So they bury it.

That is what Taylor tried to do.

Until a year later when Aaron Schwartz showed up in the New York City office for a visit. Taylor had a panic attack and decided then she had to tell her manager about the situation.

As mentioned above, Taylor was told her actions were likely a result of her behavior, no action was taken. And that was it.

In February of 2020, Indeed released an update on their sexual harrasment/office relationship standards and emailed it to all employees of the company:

“This year, one of the main changes relates to the Code of Conduct and romantic relationships at work. We want to ensure that decisions related to promotions, pay, discipline and evaluation, among others, are not influenced in any way by romantic relationships outside of work. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your current relationship being in violation of the Code of Conduct, please speak with your local HR Business Partner who will work with you to find a solution. Please note: this change is being enacted on a go-forward basis effective March 1, 2020. The purpose is not to discipline anyone for what occurred previously.”

So two things…

1. Why are you implying that going FORWARD pay and promotions won’t be influenced by romantic relationships? Was this something that was being condoned?

2. Why are you putting in a stipulation that any one who broke this rule in the past won’t be disciplined? It always should have been a rule! So who are you protecting? Very suspicious. There may be a lot of woman suing Indeed after this gets out and more people feel like they can speak up.

All that aside when Taylor Gilbert saw this email it told her that this company not only didn’t care about what happened, but essentially put in writing that anything that happened in the past will not be looked into.

It’s 2020 Indeed get it together. It doesn’t matter if he’s the best “Senior Account Manager” in all of Austin, why would you want to condone that behavior? Higher ups who target new entry level females are scum who you shouldn’t want in your company.

And if the moral reason isn’t enough for you, look at the current climate! Did you really think this was going to sit well with the media when it got out? Little too late now for that. Clearly there was other things going on at Indeed. But Taylor Gilbert will finally be the woman suing Indeed that can bring everything to light.

Taylor Gilbert is allegedly going through severe PTSD which has translated into numerous physical ailments including Lupus. Doctors have confirmed that all of these issues stem from the sexual assault. Since nothing can be done to change the past, I hope the outcome of this lawsuit helps Taylor Gilbert find peace.

Early reports from PJ Media suggest that ISIS supporters have not only depicted an image of Barron Trump being beheaded in a gruesome manner, but they have now vowed their main goal is to have Ivanka captured by ISIS (alive), and then behead Barron Trump. Or as they refer to him, “America’s mule son.” Still not sure why all the hate for Barron. Must be a thing against Trust Fund babies…

Anyway, since the image depicted that of a behead Barron Trump (who is a young minor), it will likely not be spread around mainstream news outlets.

Others have attempted to describe the depiction of a behead Barron Trump:

“Soon we will cut the head of america’s mule son,” says the text on the Barron image.
A message posted last month on a pro-ISIS Telegram channel by an ISIS supporter called on fellow followers to “handle the son of the mule of America” and included a photo of the president’s son and a snapshot of a Google map showing the location of Barron’s school.

ISIS supporters have been on a holiday threat spree, taking the terror group’s PR into their own hands with a flurry of propaganda posters encouraging lone jihadists to attack, including a new one reiterating previous calls to “put terror in their hearts by running them over or stabbing them or burning structures and forests.” – PJ Media

ISIS Targets Ivanka Trump

Clearly the image has ISIS supporters in an uproar. And just the thought of Ivanka captured by ISIS has the infidels going insane.

Leaders are telling their clans that the time is now to go in and make attempts on capturing the “Royal Family” as they see it. High Commander Amir Skhliju has expressed big plans for his expected capture of Ivanka. They are as disgusting as you can imagine.

Not only does he want to beat her and let the townsfolk have their way with her one by one, which he was quick to add would only follow after he has “had her first”.

Further translations implied the use of “chains to make her the town square dog”. Letting the restless population in the capitol use her body until she dies from blunt force or starvation. I’m sure that sounds as sick to you as it does to me.. Luckily, I am very confident neither Ivanka or Barron will find their way into the hands of these ISIS monsters. For starters, we know how much Trump loves his daughter…

Let’s Not Get Too Concerned

Ivanka is terrified. And for good reason. But these threats have come and gone in the past, Ivanka has lived her whole life in the stardom. Flying high security and keeping a low profile.

On top of that, all the other non-threats that have come just make me believe less and less of their ability to execute any sort of plan, let alone a kidnapping of Ivanka Trump.

In fact, this isn’t even Barron Trump’s first death threat. “According to the Middle East Media Research Institute, the initial message, sent on November 21 by an ISIS supporter via Telegram, reportedly “called for the assassination of Barron Trump, and shared the address, and called for the backers of the terrorist organization to assassinate him.” – AOL

Still, if ISIS targets Ivanka, her protection should be of utmost importance.

Liberal or Conservative, it is beyond a bipartisan decision. We cannot let our President’s daughter Ivanka captured by ISIS and degraded and treated like an animal. I don’t expect many people would wish that on anyone…

Andrew Yang, the young American political commentator and entrepreneur, is in hot water with the Asian community for recent remarks he made on how Asian Americans should be combating racism. Basically he told them they need to be more American. And they are pretty pissed at him about it. Andrew Yang was one of the hottest 2020 democratic Presidential candidate less than a year ago. However his recent op-ed on how to deal with the current rise of racism Asian Americans are facing has turned away a lot of support from the community that originally cherished him. Especially after Andrew Yang wrote he is ashamed of being Asian.

“For the first time in years, I felt it. I felt self-conscious — even a bit ashamed — of being Asian,” – Washington Post

Asian Actress Simu Liu was one of the first to come out publicly and criticize Andrew Yang for telling his followers that he was ashamed of being Asian.

“We are fighting two viruses at once,” Simu Liu, an Asian Canadian actor who’s best known in his role in the TV show “Kim’s Convenience,” said, calling Yang’s op-ed “a slap in the face.”

Set to play Shang Chi, the first Asian American superhero in the Marvel Universe, Liu initially responded on April 2 to the piece on Twitter: “At a time where Asian diaspora from around the world are experiencing massive racism and discrimination, @AndrewYang basically just told us to suck it up, eat a cheeseburger and buy an American flag.” – ABC News

Essentially, Andrew Yang felt ashamed to be Asian after of an encounter that took place at a supermarket. Now Andrew Yang is arguing for all Asians to Americanize themselves to “be less threatening to other Americans“. According to Andrew Yang, telling people not to be racist will never work.

Instead, Asian Americans need to lean into American culture. Then eventually they will be accepted and the average American will not feel threatened by them.

“Jenny Yang, an Asian American comedian and writer whose known for using her work to address Asian American issues, said this is the wrong message.

“I felt my stomach sink,” Jenny Yang told ABC News. “Andrew is telling us we cannot expect telling people to not be racist to work, so we should lean in to be more American so we will be less threatening to other Americans,” — a direct reference to Yang’s words in the article, “I obviously think that being racist is not a good thing. But saying, ‘Don’t be racist toward Asians,’ won’t work.”

Two days after the article was published, Jenny Yang posted a video of her attempting to take the former presidential candidate’s advice and embrace her “American-ness” in order to show “how ridiculous this premise was.” – ABC News

Jenny Yang later went to make a video attempting to practice the presidential candidate’s advice. She dressed like an American flag wearing red, blue and white. She stood on the streets with a sign that inscribed “Honk If you won’t hate crime me” while handing out Clorox wipes to strangers.

After Jenny Yang video, she got to understand that being patriotic worked. Skin or looks didn’t matter and she wasn’t being hated when she did the political movement. Jenny was furious to see someone like Andrew Yang say he was ashamed for being Asian.

The video was viewed by over 80,000 people. According to Bruce Embrey, the co-chair of the Manzaar committee commented on Andrew Yang’s call for Asia American awareness and said it was only going to be part of the problem. He said in 1942 many Asian American lost their constitutional rights when they tried being Americans. He was very offended at the concept of Andrew Yang being ashamed to be Asian.

“Reading it gave me a sense of deja vu,” Bruce Embrey, the co-chair of Manzanar Committee, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the public on Japanese American incarceration, told NBC Asian America of Yang’s article.

In his op-ed, Yang addressed the increase in anti-Asian American racism as a result of the pandemic.

“We need to step up, help our neighbors, donate gear, vote, wear red white and blue, volunteer, fund aid organizations, and do everything in our power to accelerate the end of this crisis,” the entrepreneur wrote. “We should show without a shadow of a doubt that we are Americans who will do our part for our country in this time of need.” – NBC

Clearly Bruce Embrey believes silence and attempting to “Americanize” is not a practical strategy.

According to Andrew Yang he has experienced a lot of anti-Asian racism while growing up. Coronavirus obviously lead to a spike in racially driven attacks targeted at Asian Americans.

Andrew Yang’s fight to remind the american people that Asian American lives matter too, the former democratic Presidential candidate was tackled by the Asian American Community for an article he published. Andrew Yang talks about the experience he had at a grocery store, he encountered a racist act against him and he felt judged, humiliated and degraded. Asia Americans have been demeaned and played liked toys in America.

There have been series of events across the United States including a man who was sprayed air freshener while riding a Subway in New York, there have also been the stabbing of an Asian American family in Texas and the suspect acknowledged he did the act because the family was Chinese.

Asian Lives matter too according to Yang due to the potential surge of hate crimes against Asian American amid Coronavirus, the FBI made an assessment based on the assumption that a portion of the United States will blame China and Asian – American populations with covid-19 accusations.

The fight should be against Coronavirus and not the people, I agree with that Andrew. But grow a spine for your people. Andrew Yang should not be ashamed to be Asian because of one tool in a grocery store. The Asian community needs you to be a stronger role model than that Andrew.
