Ahmad Rahami, NYC Bombing Suspect In Custody
After a shootout in Linden, New Jersey around 10:30 AM yesterday, officers successfully captured NYC and NJ bombing suspect Ahmad Rahami.
Officers responded to a call from a local bar owner who spotted Ahmad Rahami sleeping in a car. According to a statement from the mayor, Ahmad Rahami opened fire as the officers approached the vehicle.
Rahami was initially identified as a suspect after his fingerprints were found on a device that failed to detonate.
Authorities are now working to connect the bombings. There is obvious speculation towards ISIS or international involvement.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo states “Today’s information suggests it may be foreign related.”
